I really liked your eastman video, and so I decided to see what else you have reviewed and I am an acoustic guy who is exploring the world of electric guitar so I can practice quieter with headphones. I picked up a cheap squire affinity strat and Im not wild about the sound I get from it. This revstar is one of the exact models I am looking into, along with the Gretsch G5210-P90. Thanks for the review of this guitar and hope you had a Merry Christmas.
Hope you had a merry Christmas as well! Exploring the world of electric from acoustic has been fun. Lots of learning. Has helped me as an acoustic player as well, so it seems.
I really like the style of this video! Having the sound of the guitar in the background the whole time is really nice. Seems like you can focus more on your conversation about the guitar rather than trying to decide when to play! Really like the relaxed feel! Great job bro!
Very Cool, Thankyou. Interesting, Informative and Entertaining Demo/Review Video. Awesome. Amazing looking, sounding Guitar and playing. Only have my 1984 Yamaha Acoustic 'first guitar' and Yamaha Pacifica, both Awesome. And definitely hope to get a Revstar in near future, always have impressed. All the Best. Cheers
@ so I’m in the eastern panhandle of WV so I play a lot on VA and MD. My Favorite course of all time is probably Ditto Farms in Hagerstown, MD. Has a good mix of open and heavily wooded. Being in the woods though we have some of the tightest courses in the country which is my favorite type of course play. More trees the better. I haven’t really been playing lately I tore my calf in September of last year and been having some shoulder problems. I had to take steroids and I think I hurt my rotator cuff. I played the other day and my shoulder hurt so bad. I’m trying to get out more. I have been spending a lot more time standing in rivers trying to catch trout lately playing a lot more guitar too.
@@GoodTonesandCoffee I love the sound of P90s I do want my next guitar to have them. I’ve only owned a Strat with single coils every other guitar I’ve had has had humbuckers.
Yeah man, all of those activities are good choices. The P90 is just a super sound. A single coil with girth. I love them. I installed some Seymour Duncan antiquity series P90s on another guitar and it is 🔥
Had a dark green v1 RS502T and I loved it but eventually parted for reasons you mentioned: It was heavy and the frets were too tall - I felt the bumps on my finger tips when sliding up and down. The new ones played and sounded great also. Chambered but the body is a little bigger so still close in weight.
I know I could get a re-fret on it, but that kind of goes against the allure of value for the money once you start trying to swap and upgrade it all. That's unfortunate with the new ones still being heavy, though!
Have you tried the Yamaha Revstar line? What are your impressions?
Wanted to say Merry Christmas friend!!
I had a chance to pick one of these up really cheap 20 years ago and I regret it that sounds amazing. Great review.
Thanks so much! 🙏
Revstars were only launched in 2015. Could it be a Yamaha SG you are regretting?

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it, and hope you get the Revstar soon.
I picked a well-used, kinda beat up one last summer. Lots of mojo and feels good to play. I dig it
They really are a cool guitar.
I have dreams of the Revstar in white.
I’ve been really wanting one. They sound amazing
Yeah man, if you can get one, I don't think you'll be sorry.

@ what’s your favorite course
I played one in a guitar shop and loved it. I love giant frets and heavy guitars. lol!😂 I still want to own one, one day.
Hope you can! I'm rooting for you!
